Well, we are nearly there. The dining table is finally in and with this last detail installed, it does make Gigi officially a Motorhome now! It did take much, much longer that I wished for, but that’s life. You do have some control over it, but you need to be lucky as well and above all, smart with your early choices in life. Truth is, I wasn’t that smart, made lots of bad choices and eventually, paid the price lately. None the less, the human body is an amazing machine and it doesn’t take much to perform well even in extreme situations. Hopefully all those little health illness I endured in the past few months, are behind me. If not, plain B is to buy a powerful 4WD mobility scooter and make a mess in every major shopping centre. It has already being discussed around the latest campfire and it seems to be a possible solution for taking care of the next decade of fun… Don’t believe me? Check these videos..
For the past 3 years, I didn’t really have a “dining or fix table” to use for every day to day situations. That’s also why, having finally finished the dining area with a proper “fix table”, did bring me some extra joy. Sometimes I wonder why I didn’t start to build Gigi from the front end instead of the back end.. 😁. Well, there are actually several very good reasons for that, but I don’t want to ruin the surprise to a new builder..
Still, few bits left to go, but the end is much closer now, and I’m getting really excited at the idea of soon hitting the road, and finally fulfil the long lust dream. I got few ideas and still a couple of project that need finalising, but after that, is the open road!
With this covid19 going around, I did find myself watching TV for the very first time in my life, and quickly realise, that I haven’t really missed that much! I mean, what a load of crap.. I came to the conclusion that the only trustworthy thing coming out of the screen, was the actual TV menu, where it did allow me to change some settings.. But in all honesty, it helped me a lot, having a better understanding of why this society is the way it is. I feel very lucky, of having grown up without being subjected to that kind of brainwash. Luckily is nearly over, and from now on, the TV will be relegated again only to movie’s night. And to that point I also managed to install a soundbar to improve a bit the sound quality while watching movies..
Lastly, not a big deal for most, but a huge deal for me, this blog today was written entirely in the comfort of my new home, sitting down properly.. You may don’t believe it, but it feels great to finally being comfortable again while blogging..
The next travelogue will probably come from Toowoomba as that will be the next stop for this winter..
