Pasta con tonno fagioli e cipolla

Equipment

  • 1 Large Bowl
  • 1 colander

Ingredients
  

  • 500 Grams Pasta Any really, spagetti, macheroni, spiral...
  • 1 can Large tuna in spring water The one in oil doesn't taste nice
  • 1 large red onion 2 if you are a onion lover
  • 1 can mixed beans what ever beans you have
  • 2 clove garlic or two spoon of crushed garlic
  • 2 small chilli or again two spoon of crushed Chilli
  • 1 olive oil be generous
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • While the water is boiling (with salt in it) for the pasta cut the red onion in small pieces and put them in the large bowl
  • Then open the tuna and again into the large bowl followed by the beans
  • Add olive oil, garlic and chilli to the bowl and mixed everything thoroughly
  • Add pasta to the boiling water
  • Once the pasta is cooked drained in the colander and rinse the cooked pasta in cold running water. This is a cold meal after all and you also want to keep the pasta al dente
  • Once the pasta is cold add it to the large bowl and again mix the lot thoroughly
  • sprinkle the lot with salt and pepper to taste

Notes

This has got to be the most popular summer meal in Italy. It is simple cheap quick and above all refreshing. As an added bonus it taste the same even the day after because it is a cold meal...
The tuna will tend to dry the meal, so it pays to be generous with the olive oil once it is all together...
