
Castagne Arrostite (Roasted Chestnut)
A winter delicacy that it is also very easy to prepare
Equipment
- Air Fryer
- Sharp knife Hobby Stanley blade will do as well
- 1 Large bowl of water
Ingredients
- 1 kg Chestnuts
Instructions
- Take the chestnut and make a small not to deep cut on the round side of the chestnut, by making sure to have entered the outer skin
- Put the cutted chestnut in cold water and leave it overnight (this is actually optional). It depend if you have the time, otherwise just leave them in the water for as little time you have
- Remove them from the water and just give them a quick dry in a towel
- Add them to your air dryer and set the time for 30 minutes at 200c... Shake the canister every 5 minutes
Notes
As all Air Fryer are different you may need to play a bit with times and temperature, like you probably did the first time with chips...
The idea of the perfect roasted chestnut is to be not burned but a bit crunchy, not soft other than right in the middle of it...
